Trying to decide on a Garmin Striker or Echomap for crappie fishing in lakes and rivers.
The larger the screen the better, for my older eyes.
So many to choose from.... which model do you like?
Thanks

In my mind if budget allows I would get the echo map in largest screen you can afford. I would go that route because of the map side. The Stryker just has a base map with no contour lines or land markings. It just allows you to mark way points and return to them. Where echo map has good charts. As far as finding spots to fish and finding fish don't think you would find a great deal of difference in quality of picture. I don't run Garmin but they are dang good units especially for the money. If your not into spending a ton of money on the latest greatest gadgets to go with them I'd get the 93sv plus. Some really good buys out there right now.
Wish I had some advice, but I know nothing about Garmin.

I don't need any maps, just real good down imaging.
I have 3 Garmin units on my boat. Echomap are better units, and panoptix capable. The DI is good, but not the best on the market. If that's your only want I'd shop around.

Does that mean another brand has better down imaging?
I'm looking as well. Where is the best place to buy the 93sv?
