Went fishing early this morning. 34° with a 14mph wind = chilly
New lake that I haven't been on before so thought was to just graph it but couldn't resist wetting a line since I was already out there. Water temp in upper 40's
Caught 8 crappie and a couple LM. Bait balls almost every 20yds but couldn't hold the lil boat still to fish good. As seen in the first picture, they were boiling the water, others below.
I just haven't seen bait this abundant. Is this common in late fall/winter?
Also saw 3 bald eagles enjoying the activity.
