What do you use to thin S/H ?
Nothing, even if I use it, but there are times it's not a good option! Example is if you have a jig head painted with FL Yellow or Chartreuse the Sally Henson Hard as Nails will discolor it pretty bad IMHO! I make my own glue to use on the chenille and it's not that stuff. I never want a hard spot when I put my glue and I want it to soak in fast and dry!
I mix MEK and Clear High Gloss Lacquer mixed about 50/50 (not measured, lol!) and If I am just coating over eyes on the head I will use Sally's as long as it's not one of the two colors I mentioned. I use Clear Vinyl more than Sally's though!

I use it as a top coat over eyes I left the cap loose and it dried out some and now it is to thick.
I use a product called (nail polish thinner) to thin sally hanson, you can get it at a beauty supply store.
I also use polish remover to thin mine. I use the applicator bottle with needle. Fill about half full with Sally's then a tiny bit of the remover. Thins it very good. Get it at the drug store or Walmart where polish is. All I use it for is sealing thread. Don't put it on my heads.
The active ingredient in most nail polish remover is acetone, so I bought a bottle of it from the nail polish aisle in Wally. Works OK for me mixed about 50/50.
I agree with Skeetbum- 100%
Yes most any thinner for Lacquer because finger nail polish is just Lacquer. However if you coating over eyes get some Clear Vinyl. It takes longer to dry, but it's also tougher than Powder paint! Also you can coat over Chartreuse and FL Yellow with out making them look bad.
As far as I know all other colors the Sally's is fine.
