Waiting on E-Bay

The first week of Oct I checked Humminbird offerings for Helix 7 Chirp GPS/ SI Gen2 and found one at a good Price. The guy had One new in box and Two at Auction .... I normally check other things the Person has for sale on E-Bay but this time I did Not.. I bought the one not at Auction and it was suppose to be here by the 16th ---- He sent a E-Mail through E-Bay and Pay-Pal saying his Grandfather was Ill and it would be shipped the next day.. My Wife responded and said take care of Family issues... Needless to say he did not. I sent two other E-Mails a week apart to him without response. Wed we got in touch with E-Bay about the problem and found he had been removed from selling and they were aware of this problem. They sent him their notification to Refund our purchase or they will step in in our behalf on Nov 3 --- I bought a Ram Mount, Navionics card and cover for the Helix 7 but cant buy another one till we have a refund ---- CHECK OUT the seller and other things they have to sale --- If it is too good to be true it might not be

Sounds somewhat like a scam. Paypal usually won't release the money to the seller unless you leave good feedback or a certain amount of time goes by. Maybe this guy was hoping for the time to go by so Paypal would release the funds.

One of the main things I look at on Ebay is feedback score and how many things they've sold. How many did this guy have? I've been purchasing off Ebay for over ten years and only had a few issues when I was the seller. Some buyers like to back out and it's a pain in the rear. Sad thing is, this only happened to me while trying to sell depth finders I had.

E-bay is fine, they will take care of you, sorry for your problem.

I just received a notification E-Bay checked our attempts to contact seller and has made a full refund through Pay-Pal I am a happy camper { Fisherman} Now to pick out another one

$579.79 for a gen2 SI Chirp ---- I finished a purchase from Northmarine with more than 5,600 items sold on E-Bay ,, cost $645. but will be here Monday - that is four days

Guess it's too late, but in the Bass Pro / Cabela's Xmas catalog they are selling the same unit for $499.99 after the $200 Mfrs. rebate.
