Hickory bait?

Haven’t been to Hickory in several years. Anyone know if Gunpowder is still a good place to catch shad?

I was told last week it was full of bait

Was at hickory this morning, shad was flipping everywhere in coves along 127. Not sure about gunpowder.

Gunpowder has nice gizzards shad we filled a tank last week in the back of the cove in 6-8 foot of water

Haven't seen anyone who has mentioned Gunpowder in a long time. My mother, a sister and brother-in-law used to live on Little Gunpowder. But all have passed away now. I used to fish it a lot. Brings back lots of good memories.

Fiancee and I were out there the other week main lake near 127 bridge late in the day they were everywhere, approximately 2-3" .
