Look for deeper docks right now. As to which ones... you just got to try them. There's some things to look for. Rod holder on dock can be a sign, also fish baskets minnows buckets. If you have SI just ride by and scan them.

I know they get under dock on lake Tuscaloosa. Shooting dock is one of the harder things in crappie fishing to master, or for most it is.

It's about 2hr drive. Take him up on it ! Cowboy is one of the best at shooting docks. I would take you but I'm running short on time right now. Maybe I can get with you in the spring.
