ShinDig Fruit Jar Crappie cleaning and catching/KY F&W
I got a call from Adam Martin Thursday. It came right in the middle of a shower of rain and a flurry of crappie catching. He has asked to present a multi-media presentation about the war on carp during the ShinDig activities on Sat. I endorse it 100%. He wanted to be sure there is a microphone available so all can hear it.
I had asked that F&W do a stomach contents study along with their aging study. They are going to do that but need all fish caught to be identified as to where they are caught. If all your fish are caught in Big Bear, let them know. If your fish are caught in a bay in Barkley, let them know. Come up with some way of keeping the fish IDed and separate as to where caught. This info is hugely important and I hope those putting the FruitJar on will pass this along. Those of us fun fishing with guests should do the same.
I'm the number 1 supporter of the carp eradication efforts. I'm proud we have a F&W that is at the tip of the spear on this effort. Let's all work with them. Pass this info along to all who will be bringing live fish in to the weigh-in and to the cleaning at my shop.
