After four attempts I finally got the right rim to set up a spare tire for my Bass Tracker PT175. I ordered the Fulton spare tire mount. In order to get the tire away from the boat, I had to place a 1/2" piece of hard plastic between the mount and the outside of the boat trailer. It is done and I am happy with it.

Looks good. I had to mount mine way forward on the trailer to keep from crashing into it while loading.

in the pic it appears that the tire is touching the boat, u will wear a spot on the boat and the tire from vibration over time, put a bigger spacer on the holder

The picture is a little misleading. There is enough room between the tire and the boat that I can stick my hand in up to my knuckles. Do you think I should still add additional spacer? Never had one on before.
nah that should work unless your mount is a bit wobbly, or you load your boat a bit differently
Same here. Went in a little crooked and whacked it good. Moved it further up front and it worked much better.Quote:
