Mounting tip savers
Alright guys about to pull the trigger on some drift master tip scavers for my trolling rods, I’ve got 4 12ft poles for now, plan on getting 4 more in the future when the moneys there. I fish out of a 15/48 war eagle with a 25 tohatsu. My boat has T-rails is there a certain bracket that drift master makes that lets me mount the tip savers on my t rail? Also what’s the difference in the off set and the regular tip saver?

War eagle should make accessory brackets with a 3/8 threaded hole in them for rod holders. If you install them on the rail the ones on the regular half will hang ont the boat and will easily hit a dock. The offset will have all rods in the boat and be less likely to get damaged .

Its more than angle iron. It has a lug that fits in the slot to keep from rotating.

I’ve seen them as simple as a piece of 1/4” flat stock, 3” wide, heated and bent to the correct angle, and then secured with carriage head bolts. The one in the picture is aluminum with the T bolt holding it in place. I ordered some through Backwaters Marine.
