Be careful boating the south end of the lake near Lakeside Village and the canal to 441. The hydrilla is very thick and matted on the surface. It will stop your motor dead. It will soon cover the entire lake. I have been pulling it up of the bottom in 12 ft. of water. They need to get on this problem soon.

Back in Jan. it clogged up my outboard launching at the state park, hopefully they will work of cleaning it up, I know we caught some nice fish there and hope to return this winter
The state park ramp was filthy with algae and hydrilla when I last launched there about a week ago. I even had two lilly pad logs stuck between the boat and the bunks when I got out. I could not see them at first because of all the weeds hanging off the trailer. yuck
What has happened to Florida? Back when you never had a problem with hydrilla at all, now it is everywhere.
Hydriila, hyacinths, pythons, iguanas, Australian pines, snakehead fish and more. We got it all.
Don’t forget about the monkeys. I got a notice on my door not to feed them. They been spotted at griffin state park.

Lots of invasive stuff to include Brazilian pepper trees and punk trees. If not wrong again I think all are invasive and not protected.Quote:
