Best way would be to weave the body maybe but in this case i tied in both pieces at the tail,wrapped the white tied it down at the head and then stretched and glued the pink chenille to the white then tied it down at the head.Not as neat as the weave body but still works.

To improve the “fullness” of the stripe, try tying in two of the same color and pull them back side by side. This means 3 pcs of chenille.
