I "knee"ded to go...
Woke up to a steady rain this morning...figured it would be a bust and I really wanted to get out after being cooped up with my knee. But around noon the sun was shining and I had to scratch the itch. Holiday weekend we headed for Sessions state park, a no wake lake. With my knee better, but not 100 percent I figured I would have to launch and recover using a rope because I can't climb up into the boat yet. Michelle can back a trailer like a champ but hasn't launched or loaded the boat before. As we prepaired to launch Michelle pulls my garage ladder out of the back of the truck so I could climb in while she backed me in...must have been a sight....we ended up long linning as the wind was pretty stiff...we ended up sticking 10 Crappie and a half a dozen bass in the 3 hours we fished..felt great to be out and have a bend in the rod. Hope ya'll are having a great and safe holiday weekend..Attachment 315368Attachment 315369

Sorry about your knee but glad weather cooperated enough so you could get out some. Know your looking forward to more rod bending action. Best wishes.

I sometimes wish Dar could back the trailer in when the launch is busy or windy days. Hope your knee is better soon.
