Cataract
Boy I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The last two times that I have been up there pulling cranks. I have had no luck. I have been all over the lake. Seeing several fish on the locator but nothing. I have pulled slow and fast still nothing. Any ideas ? I have been fishing mainly in about 16 to 24 foot range.

Never pulled cranks there but used to side pull jigs and minnows and caught a lot of nice crappie/channels doing this.. this was 20 yrs ago before I knew anything about cranking for crappies or using super long jigs poles etc.. just normal 6-5.5 ft rods with a 2 jig setup and rods placed on floor of jon boat with rods hanging over the side, used to get out in lake with wind blowing into a cove and drift over the stump beds and as soon as we would hit the stumps we would start catching fish.
Haven't been there in a long time but should still work just as well, just let the wind take us at speed it wanted to and kept boat sideways to wind.

If you see fish on your finder, keep your baits couple of feet above them. Stagger your speed from 1.4 mph to 2.0 to see what speed they like striking the baits. Try shad colored baits or chromes like the Crome clowns or even the gill colored baits then switch and play with diff. colors. I haven’t had the time past month to fish so it’s all I can give you as far as pointers. Last time, fishing slowed way down during the day for me after 10 am. From dawn till then they were hitting good in the hot weather cranking as well as couple hours before total dark. Don’t give up and keep on fishing.

Try going shallower. Buddy and I were there last Wednesday afternoon and caught around 150 or so, but they were up in 10'-14' of water or less in some areas. Sounds like you might be fishing under them.
