Reel foot
Went to the big lake Friday. Spun off of three stumps. Fished a couple of hours in 12-13’ of water, and caught one gar. Jigged some of the stumps, nothing. Went to the washout. Caught one short, threw it back and came home. Wasn’t really expecting much after two guys told me it was dead. I kinda figured that out when I pulled up and i was the only one on the lake. Oh well, it was better than being at work.

Tough days happen to everyone. At least you got to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Thanks for the report.

At least you weren’t mowing grass or somethin’... A very old fisherman once told me that God doesn't count days we fish against us in His ledger. My guy’s still with us, so I’m going with that perspective. Is there anything more cool than being the only boat on the lake? I love those days as much as the fast and furious ones...you have a view that the rich folks can’t buy!

It’s easy to post when your catching, tougher when you’re not. Someone has to be the first to know they’re biting and they would not have known it if they didn’t go because others weren’t out there. Good post! Like the old saying “When’s the best time to go fishing?......Anytime you CAN go!”
