You done good, man. You got a Photobucket Album, to store your pics and have them readily available to post here ... good !! Now ... you can use the URL address (as you've done in this post), and people can click on it and see the picture ... if they want .... and the picture can be most any size.
OR ... you can use the IMG address ... and the picture will appear right along with the message.
But, here's some tips to follow, if you want the picture in the post. On your Photobucket Album page ... under the picture size options link ... click on the box for Message Board size (640x480). This will automatically resize your picture, and it will fit very nicely into the message box. Also ... always hit the "Enter" key a couple of times, between your message text and the picture address. This will keep your words from getting divided by the picture, or keep you from running the text letters into the image address (resulting in a message that doesn't show the picture).
Under the pictures, in your Photobucket Album, there are three addresses ... URL link - HTML tag - IMG code. You can only use the URL & IMG lines, here. The HTML tag is turned off, on this site, so just forget about it. The URL link is just that .. a link ... and when it's in a posted message, the reader can click on it, and it will open a new window (screen) and show the picture. If you use the IMG code ... the picture will be part of the post, and can be viewed right along with the message text.
Either one is fine ... and you need not worry about saving site space or resources, by always using a link instead of a picture. Ed has assured us that the site has plenty of space for our pictures. It is nice, though, to have your pictures auto resized to the Message Board size of 640x480 pixels. This not only makes for easily viewable pictures, but also loads faster for those people who have dial up (phone line) computer access or computers with low memory capacity or low powered video cards.
You may have already known all this, or had read one of my other post replies, explaining it .... that's fine ... I'm just adding it, again, for anyone (else) that may be reading this thread and has not been so advised.
