Don’t know anything about it but if they pull any water for power those bridge piling on hwy 9 and I-26 should hold some crappie on the east side. They may be a good place to start anyways
The better fish in Bowen tend to be found on brushpiles this time of year. There is so much boat traffic during the warm weather months you would be better served to fish there at night until Labor Day passes. You can pick up some on the bridges but they’re generally scattered during the day and usually smaller. The water under hwy 9 bridge is 30’ and is the better of the two bridges(I-26 bridge is 12-15’ deep). Foster Rd bridge is around 10-12’ but some dummy threw a bunch of chicken wire under there.[emoji35] Compton bridge is in the 6-8’ range. I usually fish Blalock when I go. It’s about a 15 min longer trip but a much better place to go for a fisherman.
Once it cools down, fish can be found in normal fish haunts. Bridge pilings, brushpiles, and docks. Better fish can be had then. Hope this helps.
