Favorite hooks

Hey Guys,

I did a search and didn't find anything but what are you guys favorite hooks to use for crappie fishing? Jig head and hooks for minnows is what I was wondering.

So far for minnows I like the Tru Turn size 2, I've been able to land many crappie and some catfish and bass with this one hook.

I used the Tru Turn 2 for a lot of years. Good hook for crappie. On the Big 4 with larger crappie I have gone to 1/0 red sickle.
I am missing less fish with them.

I like Eagleclaw Aberdeens with the extralight wire,size 4 or 2.

I mostly use #2 Aberdeen hooks in 1/32oz & 1/16oz jigs & for regular "minnow" hooks. My reg. minnow hooks are Eagle Claw brand, but my jigheads are custom made .... so I'm not sure what brand they are. I also have jigheads custom made & commercially made that have a #4 Aberdeen hook. I've even poured my own 1/16oz insert jigheads with #1 Eagle Claw 570 jig hooks.

#2 Sickle hooks in my jigheads and #4 Owner Mosquito hooks for straight minnow fishing.

The search engine is dumb and does only what you tell it to do. If you tell it to look for "hooks", it looks for "hooks" and nothing else. ;)
