My wife is wanting to make these crafts with kids in an orphanage in the Dominican Republic on an upcoming mission trip. the Snaps are so hard to open I think it would be difficult for the kids to do them. Do they make ones that are easier to open?Attachment 308692

Duo-lok are better, but the whole idea is we don't want them to open.

Yep, go with the Duo-Locks. Stainless steel too, so they won't tarnish like the brass does. Not sure about the "easy" opening aspect. Like Noodle Rod says.....that's the whole purpose of a snap, so it won't open easily! Good cause....good luck!
How about small safety pins? Just my 2 cents.
For making crafts those are probably the easiest for them to use. I have seen some of the cheap eagle claw at Walmart that weren't quite as stiff as some. I think in this case cheaper will be easier.
I agree with Cray. Go cheap and probably smaller. The thin wire is easier to open and close.
If you spring them open wide and back few times they will be easier to open

Send me your address and I will send you a couple hundred that I bought and cannot use. To small for my use
Put them in my tackle box. They'll open easily then.
