Ive never used crankbaits to fish for crappie , but with what ive seen here i think i have to try it. So i went shopping! Hope this will get me started. I think imma try to push and pull at the same time off the front. 2 out front weighted 2 angled back. Bought the johnsons for out the back. Anyone use johnson crappie cranks? Those will work. Good luck. Watch your lines starting out doing both at once. Turning at higher speeds with pulling cranks making turns can at times pull your pushing poles weights high enough in the water column and into the trolling motor if using too light weights and your push poles at the very front of the boat.
Yep...you need three oz weights on your push poles...3 ft. above the crankbait.
