I currently have a helix mega 9si mounted at the bow. Would like to mount it at the console and put a 10 di up front. My question is this. Could I link the 10 to the 9 and share and see si on the 10? Also, do they sell just the head unit? Hate to pay for everything when all I need is a head unit.

I believe that if they both are G2N units then you can share all info between the two. I have not heard where you could just buy a new HB head unit. Me I would just spend the extra $300 and get a Helix 10 Mega, put it at the console and use the 9 up front. I like having SI on my trolling motor and you would have DI as well.
Roy is correct a HELIX G2N can share all Sonar features to another HELIX G2N ...

Most people would want to at least have 2D sonar up front. If trying to position on a drop or over a brush pile it is good to not have depth coming from a boat lenght away.
It is interesting that on BBG Marine's web page the G2 DI unit is actually less expensive than the G2 2D only unit. http://bbgmarine.com/index.php?main_...nbird+helix+10 .... although the Mega DI unit is quite a bit more. I actually didn't realize there was a mega DI unit and a non Mega DI unit in the G2N series before doing that search.
HELIX DI G2 and G2N came out the same basic time frame as HELIX MEGA units ...Quote:

With all that's been said. Can I mount the di transducer on TM and also link to and see side imaging from the si TD from the other unit? I'd rather have si/di on TM but transducer is too long to mount on TM.

Yes you can ..... it is recommened to exchange the DI transducer that comes with the unit to the trolling motor version since it has more sheilding and therefore is less susceptible to interference ... call customer service to do the exchange and do it before unpackaging the transducer.Quote:
