We put in at Coon Creek and the day started out really good. A beautiful day with temps low, nice and cool. Right off the bat we caught 2 fish on the first drop. It got bad quickly. Broke my new B n M Sam Heaton rod. :banghead Pops always said I could mess up a 1 car funeral. :donoCaught a lot of shorts. Used minnows mostly then some black/chartreuse jigs. All in all had a great time with Mongo. He's a riot. Kept 9 fish, no slabs. Shelbyville is a beautiful lake. We didn't get to use my spider rigging. Can't wait to go again.
