I make my own hair jigs and am looking for a box that I can store them in other than the typical Plano compartment box where they just lay flat. Looking for something that maybe has some foam on the inside to stand the jigs up but still has enough room to hold enough "bushy" jigs. I bought a large Orvis box but it seems more tailored for flies. My hair jigs tend to overwhelm the inside of it. Any suggestions? Many thx.
I like Fly boxes.works really well. can make them!!White River Fly shop. Cabelas and Bass Pro. Walmart stocks them is some stores.
I would look for a fly box with "slit foam" designed for streamers. I just bought a couple of cheap ones from Bass Pro.
For more money, you could get a Bugger Barn. They are designed for big flies and can hold any jig you tie.
Streamer wallets with the lambs wool liner works great for large jigs. Smaller fly boxes with rows of foam for the smaller sizes.
I use some picture storage boxes to put my jigs in. Just added a little foam with a hot glue gun and ready to put jigs in! Here is the post from back when!

try Bug Luggage. The cost a little more but they have several sizes
I like the fisheng foam boards that fit inside a Plano box. It's a West Coast company owned by a friend, but the boards work very well. Look for FishengProducts on the web.
Plano single compartment box [big or small], then add a piece of foam on the bottom. The taller boxes work better for me. You can also get the tall single compartment box and put rows of cut up foam swimming noodles in to attach your lures to.
