I plan on doing a little night fishing under the lights this summer. I've done it a few times, but mostly just messing around. My question to you night stalkers is do you have any luck catching fish on jigs or is shiners the way to go? Also, any other tips you would like to throw in are welcome. Thanks in advance.
Wish I could help you but I dont have much experience doing it. I have caught with jigs but they werent sac a lait mostly stripers yellow bass and LM bass.

I caught a few on shiners the few times I tried it, but never really figured it out. I would rather fish jigs if I can.Quote:

I have used and fished around under water lights. I made one last year and used it on the pier on vacation. It did not attract the fish I wanted, but that was more because of location. The under water lights dont attract thw flying insects like above the water lights. Attachment 306312

Thanks for the input. I have 2 submersible geeen lights and one white floating light that I’ll be using. May hang a Coleman lantern as well. Gonna bring shiners but I am definitely gonna try jigs. It will be a few weeks before I get to head to the camp and try it. In the meantime, I’m gonna do a little inshore fishing and take a break from the freshwater.
