What Type of Knot Do You Use

Been noticing when Fish PIC's are shown
we have a tendency to use our "Favorite Knot"

Myself,
I use a Crawford Knot
for when I see the figure eight,
I know it can be tightened

What Knot Do You Use ?

Mostly use a Palomar and have been since the late 1960's. Have not found a reason to change yet, but have tried a few others and at times will use a loop knot. We use to fish a lot at night for bass and learned the Palomar and can tie it in the dark.

Thanks. I too have trouble seeing and more problems manipulating the line with the stubby tree trunks I call fingers.

Palomar and loop, but mostly I use a modified Trilene /clinch knot. Like the clinch but I run the tag end through the hook/lure eye twice wrap tag around main 3-4 times then through the double loop and finish like the clinch. This knot has served me well on braid, mono, and fluorocarbon lines. In low light I'll go to Palomar knot.

For tying the jig to the line: Berkley Trilene knot, or Improved Clinch knot.

For finishing jigs, 2 whip finishes and a drop of Sally Hansen's Hard-As-Nails.
