What happened?
Just needing some help? Sat. was good on Little Maumelle but sunday and yesterday were very slow. What happened? Any advice for this weekend would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am not that familiar with Lake conway but would like to give it a shot. Any recommendations?

My recomendation for Conway is............Avoid the stumps! :D They are pretty rough if you don't know the area. I actually bent my trolling motor shaft pretty bad last year. They will sneak up on ya'.

This weekend is going to be tough fishing. With the cold front moving thru and high winds Saturday I would stay at the house and earn some brownie points.
You need to join us for one of our crappie.com gatherings. There are always a number of folks from the Little Rock area there that can offer up some pointers.

Welcome to the site...
Conway can be a confusing lake. Which stump to fish by?? This time of year I always concentrate on the flats(2ft deep or less). Put in at Gold Creek and Dan will fill you up with advice before you go out. I like to concentrate on the flats straight out from the boat launch. Something will hit a tiney jig under a weighted cork. If that don't work, go back under the bridge. Be very careful about staying between the channel markers. You will see a point on your right about a mile from the launch. I like to throw small roostertails down that bank heading south with the main part of the lake at my back. Concentrate docks and over the lilly pads. They will be coming to the surface in a few weeks. Now is the time to pull crappie and big bream out of them. These are just a couple spots but they should keep you busy all day until you explore some more. Good Luck!!
