Helix 10si G1 settings
I’ve had my unit for about a year now and I just have some questions about my settings. The best image that I can get is with my unit on 800 but I have to run my sensitivity on 1-2 and my contrast on 16-18. 455 doesnt’t give me a very good image at all. Everything I read seems to say that most people get the best image with their settings around 10. Just wondering if anybody knows what might be causing me to set my unit up so much different than what most people are using.

455kHz = more coverage with less detail ...
800kHz = more detail with less coverage ...
SI Sensitivity is relative because environmental conditions mostly dictate the value needed for best imaging ...
Harder bottom will need less Sensitivity ...
Shallower water will need less Sensitivity ...
Can you post some images for interpretation ...??

:welcome Welcome aboard. Have you tried running a default reset to see if the sonar would correct itself. You should be getting a good sonar picture with both setting. It would help also to see pictures of what you are saying is a good vs bad sonar picture. You came to the right place they are some really good sonar people here that can help you they have really helped me. I know they can help you also.:twocents

We need pictures... Just to many variables to guess... I recommend getting a power adapter, with fuse, so you can familiarize yourself with your unit in the comfort of your own home.
