Flathead in Keystone State Park

I was fishing at Keystone State Park on Monday. Nothing was biting, I was jigging a minnow. I caught a small Flathead catfish, about 6 inches long. I never caught a Flathead anywhere but in a river. Caught a lot of Channel cats in Pymatuning, but this was my first Flathead in a lake.

Judging by the size, I think mama must be in there somewhere.

I hear there’s some in Shenango lake but I haven’t caught one yet.

That's interesting! I just caught my first flathead Monday at Arthur and it was about about 6-7". Wonder if the Fish Comission stocked some in these waters.
