I got to fish a new lake today

A friend from work has a permit for Silver Lake near Pendleton, and invited me to fish with him today. It's a really pretty lake and has some good fish in it, both white and black crappie. We caught 15 good crappie, some close to 2 lb. a bass, a cat, and some yellow bass. Joe could only fish til 12:30, he got a good mess of fish and I went to Morgan Point for the afternoon. I caught 6 good crappie there and ended up keeping 13 crappie and the bass and cat. I caught mine on the Roadrunner and Joe caught one on the Roadrunner and the rest on shiners.

Nice catch LA. I have always wanted to fish silver lake, but never had the "hookup". Have you quit your job by chance? :D

I got that hat last year on Friday the 13th. I told the sales lady I needed a lucky hat for fishing that day, so far it's been a good'un.

Jerry, thats some nice fish, I bet you about to run out of vacation days.....lol....keep them comming

That hat blew off today while motoring and all that wind we had, I hurried up and got back to it, afraid it might sink.

No Allen I haven't retired yet, just took a couple of days vacation, I'm back to work now. With all the reports at work about Chicot and Paradise I wish I was off again. I'll fish this weekend and Monday and Tuesday again.
