I've been swamped with work the last two weeks and haven't fished too much. I'm looking forward to fishing the next week for this May full moon should be the very best redear and bull bluegill bite of the year.
Hope you guys get after them wherever you are, these next five or six days should be a nice bite.
Went last weekend to KY. Caught quite a few with some really nice Redear but no where near the quantity as usual this time of year. Went to a lot of my annual spots and they were all empty. Came back this weekend so hopefully it gets better. Did pick up a couple keeper sauger as a bonus though.
I think the AC have effected the spawn of the Bluegill and Redear.
Readear I'm coming down Thursday til Sunday. Looking to get after a few. Will probably have an open seat a couple days if you'd be interested. Just starting to fish these lakes so looking to learn a few things.

Thanks for the invite, Scott. I've got four cousins and a great uncle coming down from Indiana this week!! I'll be pulling my hair out by Wednesday morning...I doubt I have time, thanks anyway.
I'm starting to really wonder if the redear are setting up spawning duty in deeper water because of the AC. I haven't caught many this year, about a total of 25 maybe. The scary part is that I fish for them 90% of my time on the lake. I love redear fishing and to only have caught 25 is concerning.
I was out early today and caught a few bluegill. The pleasure boaters knocked me around pretty good with their 30 foot Baja boats and cruisers...sadly, another spring fishing season is up in smoke.
So we went back Memorial Day weekend. Didn’t fish too hard but definitely found them. We didn’t keep a ton and threw a lot of keepers back. Had to fish in a lot of new water and was able to get several new spots. Can’t wait to get back down. Here’s a few of the good ones Attachment 305155
