Guist Creek or Taylorsville
I am trying to run out on Friday afternoon before the cold front pushes through. I am in Louisville, so KY Lake or my other favorite lakes are out of the question since I have to work Friday early. Has anyone caught any crappie on Guist Creek before? I fished it for bass b ut never did any good for crappie but that was years ago when I tried.
My other thought is to run out to Taylorsville. I heard there were a lot of crappie caught in the fall but I was b usy chasing bambi at that time. How is Taylorsville doing this spring and are there any size to the fish?
Someone also told me able a watershed in the Bardstown area that is about 110 acreas or so. He was saying it was a great lake but I know nothing about it.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a close place Friday to take a run to to get my crappie fisx for the week.
Only report I know of ....

Report Updated March 25, 2007
Water Temp 58 /water clearing, better up the lake
water level 546.8
I took a limit of crappie today vertical jigging light colors jigs tipped with small minnows also a few on slip corks with with minnows at about 10 feet of water, they were not holding tight to standing timber, look for submerged brush, 2 of the 15 I kept today were just shy of 2 pounds, white crappie females with a few eggs, the bite was best from dawn thru 11 am, lots of traffic today so practice safe boating.

You should also keep an eye on this, if it rains much between now & then :

T-ville can rise several feet, rather quickly, if they get substantial rains in the area. That will shut the bite, and the spawn, down ... in a hurry !!
Don't know anything about Guist Creek Crappie, sorry. .......... cp
