Cataract today with Billbob
Billbob and I fished Cataract this morning launching at 7 am and all morning the lake was mirror calm with little to no wind. Water temps started out at 75 and when we called it quits at noonish it was 78. Color of the water was near perfect. We decided to single pole jig fish and in using his boat and electronics visited more than a dozen way points he had previously had stump beds or fish attractors on and we fished from 6 ft to 20 ft in catching only a dozen or so crappies with most coming from the 8 to 16’ depth as fishing was slow. There was only about a dozen or so other boats on the lake this morning fishing a number of different ways and they weren’t catching much of anything either. Couple of fishermen we did chat with also caught their crappies in the deeper as well. Size of fish were 8 to 11”. It,was a good morning to just get out. :ThumbsUp
