Good evening

We didn't have evening services at church tonight so I took the opportunity to go fishing with my son. We went to some unfamiliar territory because I'm trying to keep learning new spots instead of just fishing the same old places. We didn't set the water on fire catching fish but we did find some and caught a few. We caught all White Crappie today. That's a first for me. We pulled jigs over some shallow humps in deeper water. We spent about 30 minutes checking out transition areas that show up on my topo map and fished for an hour and a half. I didn't keep count but we probably caught around 10 crappie. One really nice un and 3 more 10" or larger fish. The two in the picture are an 11" fish and a 15" 1 lb 7 oz fish.

That is his excited look. He's about as even tempered as anyone I've ever been around. He didn't get that from his momma and he surely didn't get that from me.

My son is the same way. Deer hunting, fishing etc. he's as smooth and calm as they come. Nice fish. Tell him congratulations.
