Next weekend, i decided to bring the boat as i just realized the fn firearms range day is very close to lake gaston. Hoping the bite is decent and hoping to find a couple walleyes trolling with line counters. Anyone in the area know where i can get a nc fishing license in the area on the nc side? Looks like va and nc have reciprocity for these border lakes. Thank you.
Buy it online from the NCWRC. Easiest way.

I must say nc makes a fishing license hastle free and even had a active military non resident license. I will be in trouble if i get there and do not see decent suspended marks. We shall see i guess, will be pretty tired flying back from tampa thursday. Thanks for the recommendation.
There have been several blue catfish that weighed well over 100 lbs. caught from Lake Gaston in the past few years. You may want to drag a catfish rig around while you're there. Good luck.
