Ky Lake Red ears

Fished Ky lake out of cypress bay May 2 to May 8 caught a lot of huge (imho) redears. 3 guys in the boat got our limit on Thursday (60) got 33 on wed, son and grandson came down with his boat for Friday and Saturday, 20 on Friday 13 on Saturday, not a fish in the livewell on Sunday and 9 on Sunday most were from 10 to 12 inches. Biggest fish was 12 1/2 inches. Picked up quite a few nice size gills to and 4 crappie for the week. Grandson got his first redear 10 inches he was thrilled.

What type of tactics? Redworms, nightcrawlers or jigs? Were they staging or did you find a big nest of redear?
