Mixed bag at the Riverpark 5/08/2018 with Madbomber
There we wuz! Two of the three Amigos fishing at the Riverpark for Spotted Bass, or anything that would hit our offerings. Madbomber did a lot of catching on his crankbaits today. I did some catching on my plastics minnows today and Fat Albert is probably home studying up on the baseball rule book. He has been umpiring for 100 years now and you would think that he would know the rules. But, he is a slow learner and fast forgetter. LOLOL
We caught in the neighborhood of 33 fish, give or take a couple. Spotted bass, a couple of small Largemouth bass, long-eared or Red Breasted Sunfish, 2 Rock Bass aka goggle eyes, and a 2 lb Smallmouth bass.
Madbomber's boat has been conked out and so this is the first time that he has fished in many months. He wasn't too rusty. He only lost a couple of lures. I wish that I could say the same for me. I donated several of my rare pearl minnow plastic 2.5" baits. I bought 500 of them about 20 years ago, and now I am down to about 1/2 dozen. They don't make these anymore. Bummer.
We had a great time and quit fishing precisely at 11:00 AM. We must do this more often. Alan aka Buddy Witt, and I have known each other since 1956 which was our freshman year at Spring City High School. Boy are we old now. Buddy's beard has turned snow white and most of my hair has turned loose. Grin.
