Taylosrville From Bank?
My wife and I have a much needed 4 day weekend coming up on the 18th of this month, we love to fish so we decided to try someplace new.
Taylosrville is about a 2 hour drive for us so my wife suggested I check into it.
I'd like to ask here if the lake has many if any bank fishing friendly areas.
Any info would be appreciated.

at the state park there are a couple of spots 1 to the left of the launch and 1 over the hill to the right of the launch, a little harder to get to. Also there's bank fishing out at Chowning that's not bad. Just remember you can't fish from the courtesy docks or the ramp. Good Luck!

It's pretty limited, but if you're young & spry enough .... there are "some" areas around the launch ramps.
I would say Settlers Trace Marina ramp would be the easiest access - then Possum Ridge - then Chowning - then Van Buren (in that order).
Now, of course there's the spillway area ... but fishing there is hit or miss, depending on the water output. Plus you might run into some Asian Carp down there, too.
Your best bet is to go to Google Maps or Google Earth and look at those 5 areas to get a better perspective of the layout of the lake & those ramp areas & the spillway.
The Settlers Trace Marina area is off limits to bank fishing around the marina to the ramp .... but, on the far ends of the parking area you "can" access some small areas where bank fishing is available. The other ramp areas are not restricted, other than the banks being a little steep & rocky & no fishing off the courtesy docks.
Now, you "could" rent a jon boat at the Settlers Trace Marina : 403 Forbidden (Scroll down to bottom of page for pics/pricing).
