I have a Humminbird 999 on the console and a Helix 7 on the front of my boat. I mostly pull Cranks and occasionally Spiderrig. I am wondering if it would be worth the price to get a fishfinder with Chirp.

I've got an Onix, that's got the chirp. At first I played around with the chirp. But now I've got chirp turned off.I suppose each person would have to decide weather or not they would benifit from using chirp.
I went through the HumminBird class at Grizzly Jig, and the HB rep said if you’re not fishing deep water as in Gulf of Mexico it’s useless. He said it adds nothing to crappie folks.

I run Lowrance, not HB, but I don't use my chirp either. I just run 83hz while spider rigging. Like previously mentioned, maybe it would help in deeper water.
I can't tell a difference between chirp and non-chirp, but then I probably don't have the knowledge or take the time to adjust my units to optimum settings.
Thanks folks. I'll stay with what I have.
Good call, I never use mine assuming it's act on there
