Another Green Carp Adventure 4/27/18

I had this past Friday off from work for my cousin's wedding. On the morning of my wedding, back in June 2012, me and a good friend took to the lake for some topwater action. We caught a few fish and had a great time and it seemed to have made for a good tradition so we decided to repeat this past Friday.

My cousin arrived at my house early Friday morning and we headed to the water loaded with plenty of green carp capturing apparatuses!! We we were idling to our first stop at safe light and we were greeted with some pretty quick action. Just like previous trips, we were targeting schooling fish on points throwing a mixture of topwater plugs and swim baits. We found the fishing to be quite good again and we boated 13 bass and 2 striper. We brought home 5 bass and 1 striper for a few meals.

We had a few decent ones in the mix too. We quit fishing and loaded up at 9:30 AM and headed off to the rest of the days festivities. It was a great start to a great day!!
