Helix 7 HD Transducer. Does it affect DI and sonar or SI only?

I upgraded recently from a Helix 5 DI to a Helix 7 SI. I also upgraded the transducer to the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T. I noticed the first time on the water a huge difference in clarity and picture quality in the DI. I get DI pictures that seem a thousand times better than with the 5. My question is- Is the better down imaging caused by the larger screen size (more pixels) or is it from the upgraded HD transducer? I thought the upgraded transducer would only improve the SI but is it possible it helps with the DI as well?

Reason I’m asking is because with DI pics like these I’m not sure I even need the SI. The SI is somewhat hard to see anyways with the screen size. I may opt to swap it for a DI/sonar unit only but don’t want to lose the great quality I’ve been getting.

The DI in the HELIX 7 SI is a computer generated blended image from the data received by the SI piezoes (because there is no DI piezo the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T or the XNT 9 SI 180 T) ...

The longer SI piezoes in the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T create a thinner SI beam ...which equates to better SI detail ...

So the DI image will also have better detail because the DI image is basically the SI data (manipulated to look like a DI image) ...

So if I tried to use the xhs9hdsi180t on a Helix 7 DI (No SI) would I not get the same DI images I was getting with the Helix 7 SI?

If not I’ll just keep what I have.

All HB DI models have the dedicated DI piezo technology ...(not the blended "DI from SI" technology) ...

The XHS 9 HDSI 180 T (with "DI from SI" technology) would not work correctly on a dedicated DI unit because the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T does not have a dedicated DI piezo ...
