Before anyone goes to poking holes in their Yeti cooler with a .357 or having a Yeti bonfire, get in touch with me. I’ll be happy to take it off your hands.

I have 5 or so 20somethings that came in last Monday talking about them and their buddies stacking up 15 YETI coolers and blowing them all up with 100 lbs of tannerite. I told them they were all idiots, then they started talking about YETI pulling it's stuff from the NRA. They all know I'm a gun owner, gun carrying, life member of the NRA. I told them that even though I was all that, that I was also older and wiser than they were. YETI already had their money, and now none of them had the coolers they'd already paid for.
put tape over the name plate or better yet paint or remove . Yep redneck . If the shoe fits . :biggrin
I don’t own a yeti but it’s fun watching em blow up. Never will now

Yeti may have your money, and there is nothing you can do about that. But you are carrying around their name, proudly displaying that you don't mind associating yourself with their values. It doesn't bother you, and it's no business of mine if it doesn't, but I'd feel better disassociating myself with the brand if I had any.
I can’t take credit for this idea but someone posted “instead of destroying a cooler you have paid for, sell it super cheap. Flood the market with them. You will get something out of it plus you are depriving the company of a new sale.”

When I buy a product I am not in the least bit interested in what the company values. There personal values will not convince me to buy a product or not. When cooler shopping, I am looking for a cooler that keeps things cool. The cooler the better. And the cheaper the better. In this case, you can see why I don't own a Yeti. They did not meet my needs. Pelican was cheaper, and keeps ice cold. Could care less about the politics of the Pelican CEO............or of the politics of Yeti for that matter.
Nothing wrong with that. If you value utility over association then buy or continue with what you gives you the utility you desire. I have no problem with that, or no difficulty in understanding why others choose to blow them up or otherwise rid themselves of it without regard for the sunk cost.
