Finally did it

Well, finally caught some crappie in shallow water. Caught 15 or so mostly males in 18 inches of water in the grass. I have caught lots Of fish in 4 to 30 foot of water but never been lucky enough to catch any in the grass. hopefully get a few more today then I’ve also got Sunday Monday and Tuesday before I go back to work. They do slam it really hard in that shallow water. No pics cause i gave my fish to a nice teenager who was bank fishing at the Ramp. He was nice enough to help me get off my boat with this bad knee

Love that thump in the grass! I like to catch them anywhere and any way, but the grass is special-my favorite time of year.

It’s like the difference between smashing mallards in a rice field pit and smoking them in the timber.
