Back to AR after 51 years...
I was born and raised in AR and have a lot of good memories of days fishing I just moved back the Fayetteville area from MO and am surprised I don't see much about the local lakes. Doesn't anybody fish Beaver anymore? My fondest memory of fishing in AR is one time my Daddy took me and my older brother in law to Bull Shoals on Easter weekend in 1958. We pulled into the Lead Hill dock about midnight and my bro in law took the stringer and tied it off to the outboard motor. When I asked him why he did that, he answered, "I don't want anybody to see how poorly we are doing." The stringer had 6 bass on it... 1, 7#15oz, 1, 6#9oz, 1, 6#4oz, 1 4#10oz smallmouth, + a couple of 3 lb fish to cap it off. But he was right... other boats there had multiple 8+ lb fish. In that one month there was something like 1,000 bass weighed in at the Lead Hill dock that was over 8 Lbs.
But this is a crappie board... and I love catching 'em in my 74th year. Right now my boat is out of commission for a backordered part.
By the way, why does Arkansas not allow an old fart like me to buy a lifetime license until 60 days after you get your new DL?
