Outboard trolling?

Anyone troll using a small hp outboard for crappie?
I have a 4 hp Evinrude that runs nice and quiet and slow.
Thoughts?

kickers work nice for trolling cranks

That's the way we trolled jigs for the first 30 or so years, with a 6 hp Evinrude. I've still got that thing on the back of a small jon boat and it still runs like Mama's sewing machine. There's no telling how many thousands of miles that thing has idled through.
