Hope you like fishing in the brush! The info I've found on this and other websites indicates
that the fish have moved DEEP into the brush with the high water levels. You can try to
contact Nick Shafer (Crappie Predator Guide Service (618-472-4763) or Greg Campbell
(Crappie Extreme Guide Service (618-923-1582). Best of luck!
Bite is tough to say the least. Fish are deeper than expected and tough to convince to bite
There are not many fish in the buckbrush yet. Water temp was only 52.2 today. We caught them good today 12' to 14' deep on jigs. Attachment 299129

The day that Nick posts a picture showing no fish on that wall, it means there are no fish left in the lake.
Thanks everyone for your advice. I did actually email Nick this week. We fished with him a couple weeks ago.
I am thinking of making the trip down from northern IL next Friday for weekend of camping and fishing. Don’t care if they are out deep or shallow. Do you think they will be biting. I have been to Rend more times in fall and did pretty good deeper 10 ft plus
Typically they move in to the bushes when when the water is in the low 60's.
They are always biting. Some days better than others and some days you can't fish where they are because of weather but they are always biting somewhere.
