I need 2 of em.
What you got, what have you tried and not liked and why?
Gonna push, pull and spider rig with them. I'm looking for a multi purpose tool.
I want a rod like me. Just enough backbone, with a sensitive side. LOL and I want something with a reasonably priced replacement tip because I'm gonna break em.
I'm thinking Jenko Spider Troll, but I'd like your opinions....

Denali, great tip and will handle up to a 3oz weight, tips available pretty easy too.

Rees, are you talking about the Pryme Trolling rod?
Yes, they load up with a 2 or 3oz weight on them but handle fine, what we were using at the Crappie Masters Nationals. Finished 24th pushing Arkies with a 3oz weight in front of them. Fished a many of day this spring with a 1/4oz Roadrunner on them, that being all of the weight added, in shallow water and handled great. Haven't seen any other rod fish from a 1/4 to 3oz and swing 2lbers in the boat.
Southerns are great rods but the tip lacks a little and the performance in the wind leaves a lot to be desired. They are tuff and perform excellent pulling and pushing weights but when you get under an ounce they lack.
Good luck with whatever you choose, if you choose the Denali and don't like it I'll give you your money back for them.

I do have a crankbait pushing question since you brought it up. :biggrin When you "Carolina rig" a crankbait and push or pull it, does it run at the depth of the weight or does it run at the depth of the weight, plus the depth the crankbait would normally run, or somewhere in between? The wording of that question may not make sense....
If you're fishing a crankbait that would run 8 feet deep if casted and reeled in and you add 2 ounces of weight and run that weight 10 feet deep, does the crankbait run 10' deep or 18 feet deep or somewhere in between?
Good question I would like also. I'm wanting to start running cranks myself
