Fishing Withdrawals
It has been 9 days since I last visited the lake. The heebie jeebies have set in. Weather played a major role in my absence, yes it spit SNOW last Saturday here in East Tennessee, what the hay bale. I could not take the withdrawal jitters any more today while watching the sun peer through the office window, so I left early, grabbed a couple dozen minnows and set out for some liquid therapy. The recent cold spell has delayed the spawn temporarily, water temps were 56-58 in the main creek channel so the spider rig poles got the nod this evening. I noticed several boats beating the banks and running from points, blowdowns, and brush piles like a revolving door, and no one was trolling/rigging in the channel. Using my electronics I marked a few fish between 8 and 10ft deep over 25ft, and before I could get my 4th long pole baited my first rod went off and keeper 1 went in the livewell at 4:30. Keeper #15 went in the well at 7:45 as the sun was disappearing over the horizon. 13 were females and appeared ready to spawn, just waiting on the that magic water temperature.

80 degree temperatures are forecast by the end of the week, the spawn should be in full swing the next couple weeks.

Congrats on a nice doctors visit. Nothing like using minners as Co-pay plan.

I went to VA Tuesday. They gave me some fish oil for that same withdrawal symptom.
