every time you pull your jig up and put it back down just look for the little oil slick that forms around the bait one pump will last a lot longer than you would think.Quote:

i may have to give this slab sauce a try. But the video is a little mis leading,,maybe. I make a long cast from shore with a weighted bobber and fishing it back slow, in cold water I think one of my casts last about as long as ten of his in the video or maybe more
It stays on a long time...I sprayed it on crankbaits last summer that I was pulling at 1.8 mph. after 15 minute of pulling you could reel it in and you could still smell and feel it on the crankbait.
I haven't has a chance to try it yet. It'll be just my luck to leave home without it.

The only problem with scent containers that "mist/spray" is that you get more on you/boat/water than you do on the bait. Best to hold the nozzle right against the bait and just barely push the cap down enough to get a drop or two to come out. Or you could use a plastic ziplock bag ... put bait in bag & then "spray" it. Then after a couple of baits are done that way, all you'd have to do for the next several baits is just drop them in the bag and rub them around in the residue. Or you could use the cover cap & spray some in it, then "dip" your bait in it. These methods work for jigs, but if you're doing cranks ... you might have to consider a larger container. Something like a old coffee cup should work (but, put a decal or something on it to remind you not to use it for anything else :Doh: )Quote:
