How do you all keep count of # of keeper fish kept during a trip? I have considered a simple clicker type counter, but was wondering if I might get a good idea from y'all.

Clicker.
Wish I could find a dual clicker. One side for keepers and the other side for number caught.
Or one side for number of fish under x length and other side for number over x length. Some of our lakes have restrictions on number of overs and unders. X number of each.

Fished at Okeechobee for Crappie last February. Most of the ladies there made 'Strings' for their husband fisherman, with beads that you could move up and down to keep count of the keepers. At Okeechobee it was 25 Max, so they had 25 beads on the string. We just kept these hanging on the rod holders and moved the beads down 1X1 as the fish went into the live well to keep count. I guess if you really need to keep up with the stuff you throw back, you can have extra sets for this, but, would have no idea why you would want to keep count of the undersized throwbacks. We would have 50-75 per night throwbacks every night that we did not keep a count of. Limit size was 10", we set the boat limit to 11". Lots of fish were 10-11", so we had a lot of throw backs.
clicker is about as easy and simple as it gets. Got mine right next to live well so I dont forget to punch it.
I got five fingers on each hand. Have not needed toes yet.
