Question from a jayhawker....
Have a buddy that fishes truman a lot...he has a place on it or close to it..as a surprise I was going to pour him some baits but not sure what is usually a good color or cord there I haven't been able to get over lately due to work and such. I know black and chartreuse is always pretty good but was going to do some others. Anyway was wondering if anyone had any favorites or ideas thanks...
Question from a jayhawker....
Some good colors above. Here is my top 5 but I fish the dirtier water on the upper ends of the lake. I will add a few other combos that are great sellers at the little tackle shop I work at.
My 5 favorites
SilverGlitter/Chart
Orange/Chart-CajunCricket
White/Chart
Black/Chart
Blk/Pink
Some other great sellers
Junebug/chart
Blue/Pearl
Electric chicken
MonkeyMilk
Blue Ice
I better edit this to add Blue/Chart. One of the Smithville guys thinks it's the only color to use [emoji4]

Question from a jayhawker....
If you can match this color combo you can catch all the fish you could ever eat out of Truman. I have talked a lot of guys into fishing SilverGlitter/Chart the last 5-6 years and most of them it is their new favorite color combo. I have this color combo made in 12-14 different styles/sizes from 7-8 different bait makers. So you can say I like his combo just a little bit. The picture below is a custom bait from what I think is one of the best bait makers in the country and he's from right here in Missouri. Be on the lookout real real soon for it in a Beaver Bottom Bait from Redneck Rubber out of Oklahoma.
