Borrowing a lot of what Ledhed does when he puts a belly spin together, I sat down this morning to put one together to focus on the crappie in one spot in particular. This is a 1/32 #4 tied with 6 V's and some black and silver flash. These fish got off several times and I had to go to a bigger hook and get as much gap clearance as possible. The thread neck did use a lot of thread but I used 210 so it could have been worse. I think I need to find some wool in that color to speed the process and fill it in a bit better. Maybe. I ovaled the loop on this swivel as Sonny suggested and got a little more reach for the body. Overall I'm pleased with it, now I need a chance to stick in a Crappie mouth.
